Hey all! First, let me say that, in the past two days, I have been lucky enough to witness something inspiring. What I was originally expecting to be a small project run for a day or two, has evolved into something more. I have realized that each and every one of them has come to NSC from a different place, a different home, a different life, a different story. These students of NSC: your classmates, the people waiting in the hall before class, the people coloring their anatomy diagrams in the aquariums, the people getting extra help from a tutor in the SAC, even your friends; they have a secret. They all hold the recipe, within them, to turn lead into gold.
I'm still sorting through all the letters, photos, and signs, and matching them together, but in my work I came across a few snippets and quotes that I want to post now. And know that these are just the tip of the iceburg; there are still many, many Scorpions who have yet to share their stories, and we'll be working on getting them up and onto the page as soon as possible!
Lisa Yee - "I feel at home every time I walk through these doors in the morning… I realize NSC offers a chance for me to grow as a person and push myself as a student. I've started a club on campus that focuses on leadership and community service… NSC is the perfect place for me... My name is Lisa Yee and this is my NSC STORY!"
Christopher - "During my high school years, I always wanted to go to a college where I felt most at home…Now that I've been accepted to NSC it feels as if I made a second family. Friends, professors, staff here at NSC can't be replaced with what any other college offers."
Martha Arbolario - "We're not just a school, we're a family! The faculty does a great job staying committed to teaching their students. I love NSC!"
Cynthia Schneider - "From day one, NSC has welcomed me with open arms and made me feel accepted… Best part is it is affordable for me. Who am I? I am NSC."

Every Person Is A Story
It has been said that every person is different. From your looks and your clothes, how you do your hair and tie your shoes, to your life experiences and upbringing, no one on Earth has quite the same story. This blog was created to honor the individuals that attend Nevada State College at Henderson, and let their stories be heard.
